Migrate to CloudAccess.net Joomla! hosting

Migrating your Joomla! website* to CloudAccess.net's Joomla! hosting is a simple process. We provide two options depending on your needs.

To get started, you'll need to create a free account if you do not already have one. Create your free account here: https://billing.cloudaccess.net/register.php

Once you've created an account, simply submit a support ticket, choosing "Joomla! Site Migration" in the first step. We will import your site, placing it on a subdomain that we select. For example, subdomain.cloudaccess.net. Then, on the migration date you define in the ticket, we will change this subdomain to your live domain.

Please note each option requires that you have an active hosting account with CloudAccess. If you do not, please visit our hosting plans page and select the plan that fits your needs.

Option 1 - Create a .zip or .tar.gz package of your site

Create a .zip or .tar.gz package of your site, making sure the database is inside the .zip or .tar.gz file in a folder named database. You may need to create this folder and put the database inside the folder, or your hosting company may do this for you free of cost.

Next, you can choose to either:

  1. Provide us with a link directly to the zip or .tar.gz package
                                             --or--
  2.  Upload the package via FTP to your CloudAccess.net account

Option 2 - CloudAccess managed move, $100.00

Our technicians will manually migrate your site for you. You'll need to provide the following information, collected in the migration ticket:

  1. Full FTP access to your hosting company
  2. Full control panel access
  3. SSH enabled with username and password (If available. Please call your hosting company.)

*Please note: Sites are migrated in their exact state as received by CloudAccess. CloudAccess is not responsible for bugs or misconfigurations that are contained within the files we receive. If you need help fixing these issues, please contact Sales.
