There are 10 days left, and we are very excited to see everyone at the 2nd annual Joomla! World Conference. The JWC is back this November after last year's inaugural JWC in San Jose, California. Last year the event was held on eBay's campus in San Jose and this year's venue is Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. We are happy to say that, just like last year, several CloudAccess.net team members will be in attendance. We're also very proud to be a sponsor for the event!

Event Schedule

1. Business Day - Friday, November 8th - Talks are focused more on the business aspect like designs, website building, project management, UX & UI for websites , e-commerce, case studies, etc.
2. Geek Day - Saturday, November 9th - sessions last the entire day and include topics like web services, frameworks and topics that are a bit more geeky. Saturday will also, of course, end with the bug squashing event.
3. Community Day - Sunday, November 10th - sessions are focused on User Groups, Working Groups, community planning and more.

I really like the idea of breaking the event down into 3 separate themes. Thre are so many speakers and sessions to chose from, it's really hard to decide who I am going to see. I am also really excited and proud that I was selected as one of the presenters for the Joomla!Ignite keynote presentations on will take place on Friday, just before dinner. I've got something really special in store for the community and I hope everyone likes it.

Gary Brooks, our CEO, is also attending the event and I asked him what he was looking forward to the most. He said, "I am looking forward to seeing all my old Joomla friends. I want to hear success stories with Joomla! and to connect or reconnect with people in the community." I also talked with my colleague Ryan Bernstein who will also be at the event. Bernie said, "it's mainly about the community members. I'll meet a lot of folks that I've collaborated with in some form or another. There are at least 10 people attending that I've done a webinar with, but never met face to face."

As for me, I'm looking forward to meeting and socializing with old friends, meeting new friends, attending talks, squashing some bugs and seeing the East Coast of the US for the first time. Of course I'm also pumped about my Joomla!Ignite talk and seeing Fenway Park where the Boston Red Sox play. Most importantly, I'm excited to finally meet Gary. I've worked with Gary for 4 years now and we've never met face to face. I'm going to give you a big hug when I see you, bud!
