JoomlaDay Poland Summary

This past weekend two of our team members Derek and Pawel attended Joomla! Day Poland 2017. The event took place in Szczecin and was located only 3 miles from our Polish office.

Day one started off with a welcoming speech from the event organizers, Sebastian Danjnowiec and Norbert Sulżycki and a drawing of gifts from the sponsors. It was filled with many interesting presentations which ranged from new incoming features in Joomla! 4 to hidden browser features such as speech synthesis and concluded with an after-party at the Nowy Browar club that lasted well into the night.

Day two was packed full of information and presentations as well. Our very own Derek had the honor of giving an impromptu presentation, “The effect of “real life” events on online communities” after one of the presenters was unable to attend.

Things started to wind down around 4:30 in the afternoon. The organizers thanked the sponsors for sponsoring, speakers for speaking and attendees for attending. We received two “thank you diplomas”. One for the company sponsoring the event and the other for Derek giving the presentation.

The event concluded with another round of drawings from the sponsors and all the speakers and organizers gathering outside the venue for a photo.
