Bulk Site Migration

When migrating many Joomla or WordPress websites to CloudAccess.net, it helps to keep information consolidated in one area. We recommend following these steps to ensure a smooth migration.

Step 1: Create a Spreadsheet

Step 2: Submit a Support Ticket

Step 3: Wait for Confirmation

Step 1: Create a Spreadsheet

The creation of a migration spreadsheet helps our team stay organized during the migration process. Please include the following columns in your spreadsheet:

Important Points:

  • For easy sharing, we recommend using Google Docs to create the spreadsheet
  • Alternate spreadsheet formats like Excel are acceptable as well, however they will be converted to Google docs and shared back to the client

Headings for spreadsheet:

  • Domain name

  • App type

  • Admin URL

  • Admin Username

  • Admin Password

  • FTP Host

  • FTP Username

  • FTP Password

  • Pointing: Enitre DNS or A Record?

  • Registrar URL

  • Registrar Login Username and Password

  • Setup Email?

  • Special Notes

Step 2: Submit a Support Ticket

Submit a support ticket with the spreadsheet attached. Be sure to submit the ticket to our Site Import team. Our Team will respond back to the ticket indicating that we have assigned a dedicated Support Engineer to your migration. You will be provided contact information and a time in which you can expect the migration to be completed.

A few important points:

  • During the migration, the Support Engineer will create the Joomla Instances needed to host the accounts. These instances will be automatically charged to your card on file.
  • If you opt to have CloudMail setup for any/all of the Joomla Instances, we will provide a master email account for that domain name. You will then be able to provision whatever email addresses are needed to complete the migration

Step 3: Wait for Confirmation

After a successful migration, you will receive a ticket notification from your dedicated Support Engineer. This response will recap the accounts that were created, and will include links to knowledgebase articles if further information is required.

If you have any questions during the migration process, feel free to login to your Cloud Control Panel™(CCP) and respond to the ticket, or call our support line at (231) 421-7160.
